Malkangiri District, Odisha/ 20 Nov : The deteriorating condition of Adivasis living in below poverty line in 11 districts of Odisha has been effected badly due to poor health care system, more than 300 Adivasi children has died in last 2 months in Malkangiri District alone due to Japanese Encephalitis.

According to independent reports, a Adivasi Dalit couple Raja Madkami and Masai Madkami lost their 2 years old son Suresh Madkami early this morning in hospital. When they returned home with the dead body of their son, their grievance increased further more after seeing their eldest son vomiting and having high fever. Montu Madkami stayed at home while the couple were in hospital for the treatment of their youngest son who could not survive due to poor health care system in state government hospital. The couple now fears in returning to the hospital for treatment of their eldest son because they don’t have any trust in health care system of state government hospitals.

Will the Odisha government take responsibility of poor health care system ? Why there is no outrage ? Is life of Adivasis and Dalits invaluable ?
