Looking at the present situation of impact of politics in the society the youth’s participation into it and social media has also ascended and it’s encouraging also but also shows the negative part. The news from Uttar Pradesh that a wedding was called off just because both the parties differed on their thought regarding the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
According to Times of India report, the groom was a business man while the bride was working in a government firm and here the names of both parties are not mentioned but it has been added that they were going to meet in a temple to finalize the wedding arrangement.
During the meeting one of them raised topic of the economic slowdown in the country and while on the other hand woman was alleging that the person responsible for this was Modi, the man was a Modi supporter and refused to buy the reasoning and due to this, soon a heated argument followed and the two decided to part ways and conveyed to both the families that they don’t want to get married to each other.
This adds to the increasing list of ‘bizarre’ reasons for which weddings have been called off in India. From the lack of a loo to the inability of the groom to solve a simple math problem, the past couple of years have seen interesting but seemingly valid reasons for couples to call of their wedding at the last minute. Not seeing eye-to-eye on the country’s PM seems to be as valid a reason as any, don’t you think?
