New Delhi : This letter from RBI employee union puts the Modi Govt not only in poor light but also undermines global confidence in Indian Financial System.

RBI Employees Union writes scathing letter to RBI Governor Urjit Patel raise concerns over the finance ministry’s alleged intervention in its functioning.
Letter after reports suggested that government was sending an official to RBI to co-ordinate central bank’s currency chest operations.

In recent days, Govt has made RBI a joke and destroyed it’s credibility forever. Image of RBI has been destroyed by government decisions. Which government claims to be it as RBI decision.

In a letter to Urjit Patel, employee wrote, Feeling “humiliated” by events since demonetisation, protesting against operational “mismanagement” in the exercise and Government impinging its autonomy by appointing an official for currency coordination.

In a letter, they said autonomy and image of RBI has been “dented beyond repair” due to mismanagement and termed appointment of a senior Finance Ministry official as a “blatant encroachment” of its exclusive turf of currency management.

RBI Employee also expressed their feeling, We feel extremely pained, and its painful to note RBI is being criticised ” the United Forum of Reserve Bank Officers and Employees said in the letter addressed to Patel.
