The 26th January’s violence during the ‘Tiranga Yatra’ taken out by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) after which one person was killed and many injured now has another shock by taking its new routes by spreading chaos in communal ways to disturb the peaceful society. Some unidentified miscreants spreading the chaos blazed up the door of religious place in Ganjdunduwara locality of the district.
On monday morning at 5pm, the incident occurred near Sabzi Mandi, and the quick response of identifying the fire made the situation pacify but the residents got frightened as well as expressed their antagonism towards those who took out the incident. The Senior district and police officials lead by District Magistrate R.P. Singh and Superintendent of Police Piyush Srivastava rushed to the mosque in Ganjdundwara and pacified the angry residents. Herein, by taking strict actions the SP Piyush also later suspended two police personnel on mobile duty after finding their negligence for foiling the subversive act and the suspended policemen included constables Harishanker and Nagendra. Shops in the area have been closed and police patrolling has been increased.
Senior officials said they were monitoring the situation but added that there was no violence. “The situation is being closely monitored.” The state Home Department official said. — IANS says that, “Peace was returning to the area. No one behind this mischief will be spared,”
The SP after visiting the spot also held a meeting with the peace committee of the locality to ease out the tension. He also strengthened the police deployment so one could further create any problem to disturb communal harmony. Srivastava also claimed that the reason how the door caught fire was yet to be ascertained, but still they got a FIR registered in the matter against unidentified persons.
