Kerala : RSS Members Allegedly Attacked BJP Leader With Sharp Weapons, Four RSS Workers Arrested

Kochi, Kerala : A group of RSS workers allegedly broke into a Kerala BJP leader’s house in Thrikkakkara. Kochi and attacked him on Monday, reported Indian Express quoting from police.


BJP’s State Council member Vennala Sajeevan has been admitted to a private hospital here with a fracture on his right leg after he was attacked by the RSS men with sharp-edged lethal weapons late last night.

The police said he gave a statement about the involvement of the local RSS workers in Thrikkakkara in the incident, after which police arrested four RSS workers and taken into the custody for further investigation.

Sajeevan was not in good terms with the local RSS leaders and the BJP and RSS leaders had tried to reach a compromise in the issue, Palarivattom police said. Police have taken RSS Karyavahak Jayachandran into custody, police said that Jayachandran was the man who had conspired the attack. The police initially suspects some personal feud between Sajeevan and local RSS leaders might have led to the assault, investigation has started.

Recently seventeen RSS cadres were arrested for murdering a Kerala teenager, Seven of those arrested were minors, and studied at the same school as the victim – A Ananthu, who was allegedly beaten to death near a temple on 7th April last month.

Kerala CM Vijayan also slammed RSS recently for radicalising the youth through weapon drills and warned of strict actions if anyone found guilty.
