Mumbai police suspicious about Om Puri’s death, registered ADR for investigation

Mumbai : Veteran actor Om Puri passed away on 6th January leaving many in shock and grief. Just one day after his death and funeral, Mumbai police smells foul play after some rumours started about his postmortem reports which stated his cause of death as ‘Unknown’.

According to ANI reports, Mumbai Police has registered Accidental Death Report (ADR) on Saturday evening in connection with actor Om Puri’s death, who passed away on 6th January after suffering a cardiac arrest.

According to reports, the preliminary postmortem report of the deceased actor states that the cause of death as ‘unknown’, started rumours of foul play involved in the case.

Meanwhile, the Police has also reportedly interrogated his domestic help and driver.

Born on October 18, 1950, at Ambala in a Punjabi family he achieved a very admirable status. He like Nasiruddin Shah made the spectators accept his originality and creativeness in the field of acting. He was a very clear-hearted man. It was simply his silver screen perfection which earned him the fourth highest prestigious civilian title of Padma Shri by the government of India in 1990. He was also declared an honorary officer of the Order of the British Empire in the year of 2004.
