Noida Police Nabbed Yogi’s Fan from Gujarat for Giving Rape Threat to Female Anchor


Noida : Sakshi Joshi, an Hindi News channel Anchor, recently uploaded a status on Facebook thanking UP police for arresting a abusive troll, it’s been reported earlier that a person named Sandeep Upadhyay commented on her status that, “if you want to live in UP, chant Yogi Yogi”.


To which Sakshi replied “we will live in UP without chanting, what will you do?”. And then he replied in derogatory and abusive words.

She posted on her Facebook post that, she would continue to teach lessons to such people (probably the people who are doing Yogi Yogi or any politicians chauvinism unnecessary).

After abusive comment by Yogi’s supporter Sandeep Upadhyay who hails from Amethi but working in a Textile company in Surat, she challenged him and told him to meet in Noida Court.

The anchor shared the screenshot of the comment on her Facebook wall. Following this a case under Sections of IT Act and Section 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC was registered against the accused.


SHO Sector 49 police station, Mr Bijendra Singh Bhadana said that the police traced the IP address of accused who live in Surat. “We sent a team of officials and the accused was arrested. He works in a textile factory in Surat and earns Rs 15,000 a month. He will be brought to Noida for further investigation,” he said.

After Noida Police traced ad arrested Sandeep, She posted on Facebook profile and thanked police for taking action. “Kudos to UP Police and, specially Noida SSP Dharmendra Singh, who did everything possible to arrest the accused. I also thank UP CM Yogi Adityanath ji for proving nonsense would not be tolerated in his state, even if it is in his name,” she wrote.
