Hyderabad : Unaccounted Rs 58,00,000 in which Rs 20,00,000 are in new 2,000 notes belonging to a businessman was looted here in Hyderabad on 5th December by a notorious gang after they baited him to exchange with their old banned notes on a basis of 25% commission.

Hyderabad police apprehended the 8 members gang on 7th December after the businessman identified as Divesh Agarwal reported the crime.

According to Hyderabad Police, K Arun Kumar Mudiraj got the information about Divesh Agarwal having sum of Rs 58 Lakh in new denomination. He approached Divesh and offered 25% commission for exchanging their old Rs 500 & 1,000 notes. To which Divesh Agarwal agreed and planned to meet them at a isolated place.

When Divesh Agarwal reached the spot, Arun Kumar asked him to show the amount, after confirming he is carrying the huge amount in bags, Arun told him to wait while he will return with the old notes. He altered other gang members who were waiting at distance. The gang members approached Divesh, threatened and beaten him before running away with two bags of cash.

After the commission of offence, all the gang members met Arun who was waiting for them at residence of Sudhakar Yadav at Golla kidiki, Puranapool. Arun and Sudhakar divided the booty. After partition of amount, Sudhakar Yadav assured them that the amount they robbed from Divesh Kumar  is black money and he will not give any police complainant and also told them to leave the place and be undercover for some time till the situation subsides.

The gang members believed Divesh will not approach the police to complain the crime as his money was unaccounted, but Divesh Agarwal approached the police and reported the crime.

On the intervening night of 7/8-12-2016, all the accused involved in this offence were apprehended at Lucky Bar and Restaurant, HB Colony who assembled on the instructions of Sudhakar Yadav to discuss the future course of action as the police parties are searching for the accused person involved in the dacoity case occurred at HB Colony. Sudhakar also instructed all the other members to bring the divided booty amongst them to keep it in any secure place.

Hyderabad police has registered case against the gang members and informed the IT department to look after the unaccounted cash belong to Divesh Agarwal.
