Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa suffered a cardiac arrest this evening, says Apollo Hospital officials. State Governor Vidyasagar Rao has reached the hospital to enquire about Jayalalithaa’s health.
Tamil Nadu Governor Vidyasagar Rao, who reached Apollo Hospital few minutes back, left the hospital without saying a word on Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa’s health.
He just folded his hands and left after enquiring about Jayalalithaa’s health for about 20 minutes. He is expected to brief the media shortly.
The DGP, Tamil Nadu, has issued a fax statement asking for the deployment of a huge police force outside the Apollo Hospital in Chennai to keep the situation under control.
