Toronto : When newly elected U.S President Donald Trump imposed ban on 7 Muslim countries, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau opened his country’s gates for those helpless refugees from war torn countries.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau got a Welcome message for refugees rejected by U.S. President Donald Trump: Canada will take you all.

Justin also posted a picture of him greeting a Syrian child at Toronto’s airport in late 2015. Justin oversaw the arrival of more than 39,000 Syrian refugees soon after he was elected. He posted same post on social Media and got half a million Facebook likes and RT in no time.

He is being appreciated across world for his this gesture, A spokeswoman for Justin said our Prime Minister has a message for Trump.

“The Prime Minister is looking forward to discussing the successes of Canada’s immigration and refugee policy with the President when they next speak,” Trudeau spokeswoman Kate Purchase told The Associated Press.

Trudeau is expected to the visit the White House soon.

The Canadian Prime Minister has refrained from criticizing Trump to avoid offending the new president. More than 75 percent of Canada’s exports go to the U.S.

Mayor of Toronto John Tory also weighed in, noting that the city is the most diverse in the world. “We understand that as Canadians we are almost all immigrants, and that no one should be excluded on the basis of their ethnicity or nationality,” he said in his issued statement.

The tweet of Justin welcoming refugee  and immigrants from those banned nation quickly received more than 440,000 likes. “#WelcometoCanada” started trending in Canada.

Many US citizens were overwhelmed by his announcement, most of them asked “are you taking Americans too who are running away from Trump?”.

Majority of people slammed the ban on refugees from selected Muslim countries and specifically on Muslim refugees as a hate crime and discrimination.
