According to source,Shreshtha was transferred a week after the incident was taken to the CM Yogi Adityanath in a meeting by a delegation of the party’s 11 MLAs and MP. The local leaders linked it with their pride and pressurised the high command to initiate action against Thakur for talking rudely to the leader and sending their volunteers to jail.

Mukesh Bhardwaj, BJP city president, has proudly admitted that Thakur’s transfer was required to keep the pride of party workers and leaders. He went on blaming the lady cop for using objectionable language against CM Yogi Adityanath and other party leaders.
