Meerut-Uttar Pradesh: A 10 year old boy was allegedly molested in the office of Bajrang Dal in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh this week on Tuesday when the boy entered the premises to catch a kite, however Bajrang Dal claims that the accused in not a member of Bajrang Dal.
According to the TOI reports, the kid who is studying in class 4 was lured by Rahul Lohia, the accused and taken to the Bajrang dal office in Surajkund. After he was molested the accused threatened the kid not to reveal it to anyone or else he would face dire consequences. The family claims that the kid initially did not speak about it but was very disturbed and scared. When the parents repeatedly asked him, he revealed about the bizzare unfortunate incident.
The family reported the incident and filed a case in Civil lane police station but the accused is absconding. The family claims that the accused is a prominent leader of Bajrang Dal but the local office members of Bajrang dal claim that the accused is not associated with the Dal, he only utilises the sports facilities located in the Bajrang Dal office premises.
The mother of the boy said, “My son had gone for his tuition class on Tuesday evening and when he was returning home at around 5pm, Lohia forcibly took him inside his office and sexually assaulted him. My son returned home in tears and told me that he had done the same thing with him thrice in the past. He is a little boy of 10 and is, in fact, a member of RSS himself.”
The boy’s father – who also has been in RSS for years now – approached the Civil Lines police station in Meerut and filed a complaint. Neeraj Malik, station house officer, Civil Lines police station, said, “An FIR has been filed against Lohia, who is a Bajrang Dal member, under sections 377 (unnatural offences), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) of the IPC and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.”
Bajrang dal member Balraj Dungar told reporters that the accused was related to one of the office members so had easy access to the office premises and political opponents are trying to use the incident to attack the Bajrang Dal. The family members of the child claim otherwise and demand that swift action be taken against the accused. UThe child is under shock and is recovering from the incident.
