Uttar Pradesh : Muslim Man Beaten to Death By Suspected Hindu Yuva Vahini Fringes Over Allegedly Helping in Inter-Religious Marriage

Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh : Ghulam Mohammad, 59-year-old man from Bulandshahr, was beaten to death by members of the Hindu Hardliners organisation Hindu Yuva Vahini on Tuesday for allegedly helping a relative to elope with a Hindu girl.

Three people have been arrested till now after Police registered case against 6 people, Bulandshahr Senior Superintendent of Police Muniraj said, reported ANI.

The FIR was registered against six members of the Hindu Yuva Vahini, set up years ago by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath during his emerging career in politics.

According to reports, Additional District Magistrate Arvind Kumar Mishra said that 19-year-old Yusuf of Sohi village had allegedly eloped with a Hindu girl of Fazalpur village on April 27. However the girl’s family had lodged a kidnapping case against Yusuf at Pahasu police station. Suspecting that Mohammad had helped Yusuf, the attackers reached his house on Tuesday afternoon, dragged him to a secluded spot and beat him to death.

Earlier last month, workers of the Hindu Yuva Vahini had barged into a house in Meerut, found a couple in a “compromising” position and handed them over to the police. The man, a Muslim, was accused of trying to forcefully convert the Hindu woman in an act of “love jihad”.

The hardliners group founded by Yogi Adityanath has been offensive against Inter-Religious marriages between Muslims and Hindus alleging it as ‘Love Jihad’ and against religious conversion of Hindus.
